Got @-replied by an account with "die n-word" in its handle. It's harrassing someone I follow and trying to dox them.

And the options on the abuse form are gently shunting me away from reporting it as abuse
-
Report Abuse is a fig leaf. Why even bother?
-
@sarahjeong They want to funnel it to an algorithm because hiring people to handle the reports would cost money -
@michaelk42 there was a profile done recently on one of the people who handles reports, not sure how true that is -
@sarahjeong I don't think there's any way they employ *nearly* enough people to handle the volume, Google is like that too I think.

@sarahjeong@jilliancyork@katecrawford SADNESS. (Seriously, I so wish I had a zero-hours contract somewhere that'd get me library access.) -
@Dymaxion@sarahjeong@katecrawford meeeeeee too. but tweeting the DOI usually results in a paper landing in my inbox real fast ;) -
@jilliancyork@sarahjeong@katecrawford Benefits of a bigger network, I guess. (Not that I can't get stuff when I want it, but it's slower) -
