There's issues with how spam is treated today. But just note massive effort expended on creating it, filtering it, and evading filters

I don't think it's ideal. I don't know what the alternative is. But the $ involved is a counterpoint to "Too expensive to deal w harassment"

I don't think it's too expensive, I just think every system created has so far been simultaneously unresponsive and prone to abuse

Cool thing I'm hearing now from multiple fronts is that user-specific tools to filter what reaches you are not hard

So like an opt-in filter you can turn on when you need it. Not something that removes the user or their tweets.

Sometimes hearing everything is hard but useful. But sometimes you have what amounts to pollution.

@sarahjeong tbh I use the spam/block for harassing tweets sometimes because seems to work better/faster than filing an abuse complaint

@sarahjeong it seems like easy to use filtering for mentions would be a great start
