The Purge does not seem very legally administrable

for example if I am conducting an illegal search-&-seizure re: US v. Jones but I commence search during The Purge is the evidence admissible

if I form— during The Purge— an agreement to commit a crime, is the conspiracy still illegal

does The Purge excuse the conspiracy if the overt act is committed during The Purge

or does The Purge have no effect on inchoate crimes? this seems odd. it’s supposed to be ALL CRIMES ARE LEGAL, smh

is it only criminal acts under state and federal law, or are civil tortious actions also permissible during The Purge

if civil causes of actions are still live during The Purge, doesn’t make any sense. Then I can bring wrongful death suits for Purge murders

Is only US law suspended? Then presumably other jurisdictions may still prosecute crimes committed under The Purge

Oh here’s a great thing to note if you’re looking to make money during The Purge: 18 USC 2320 is suspended during The Purge

so is the Bank Secrecy Act and other money laundering related statutes, so get on that

I just feel like The Purge is just not that big of a deal if it’s not also a temporary suspension of civil liability

also, just conceptually speaking, I think it would make a lot more sense if The Purge also temporarily suspended constitutional rights

because then the government isn't liable for allowing The Purge to begin with
