It sucks that so many battles are fought over whether a warrant is necessary for [situation/item] and then judges rubberstamp warrants
When arguing over the Riley issue about a year ago: "Seriously? You can't just get a warrant?" Response: "It just wastes judges' time!"

That's how cops and prosecutors think. "Ugh now we have to go waste a judge's time. Because of the blasted ACLU."

Riley is a great victory, but the frontline of this war is in an absolutely unacceptable place.
