It sucks that inaccuracies in police procedural / trial dramas skew popular understandings of the criminal justice system BUT
… if we didn’t have those, people would actually understand the system a lot less!

Bad TV can be oddly educational. Think back to the phone hacking scandal & Milly Dowler...

… much of the public understand INSTANTLY what the problem was with voicemail deletion. And that’s pretty much because of bad TV.

Wish bad TV didn’t have such a pro-police, pro-prosecutorial bent.
