It blows my mind that people would defend the headline with “but there’s another slur in there! and you’re ignoring it for the ‘gooks’!”
One more thing about the “Gooks” headline — *in the context of the piece* it is literally calling at least one named individual a gook.

“Redskins” name is disgusting. If there were a “Gooks” team it would also be disgusting. Still diff. from media calling my friend a gook.
