@sarahjeong I am not familiar with how trans* are detained in imm context in US, but assume misgendering happens there. -
@jazzagold yep. misgendering, negligent medical care / withholding HRT, failure to keep patient confidentiality, ignoring sexual assault -
@sarahjeong All of those things happen to people in detention PERIOD, assume it is worse for trans* heck ALL LGBTI folk. -
@jazzagold yes. it’s amplified in the LGBTI context, plus trans* people slip through the cracks bc inadequate framework to “deal” with them -
