I know it's fun to make fun of Dawkins fans and atheist MRA's, but man, is it tough to accept atheism when you're raised in "the church."

@caulkthewagon hmmm evangelical blend? Dad identifies as Southern Baptist. Pentacostal influence in there too.

@sarahjeong I was raised United Methodist but in that denomination, every church is different. Mine was fundie. Dad raised Southern Baptist. -
@caulkthewagon Yah, denominations are kind of a vague indication of oppressiveness. Really depends on the particular community.

@caulkthewagon South Korea. Parents converted in a big boom of Xianity. Then lived in North Carolina right after I immigrated. -

@caulkthewagon I still think Internet Atheism is ridiculous but I think a lot of people don't know about these religious bubbles -
@sarahjeong Yeah, same. And people should. These religious bubbles are part of one big bubble bath that drives our political system. -
