I know it's fun to make fun of Dawkins fans and atheist MRA's, but man, is it tough to accept atheism when you're raised in "the church."
@caulkthewagon Backlash against my atheism sucked. Still distant from my parents. Can't imagine what coming out as queer as well was like.

@sarahjeong I was raised United Methodist but in that denomination, every church is different. Mine was fundie. Dad raised Southern Baptist. -
@caulkthewagon Yah, denominations are kind of a vague indication of oppressiveness. Really depends on the particular community.
