I feel like I’m positioned on the margins of both Big Institutional Feminism and “twitter feminism,” and I feel very alone.

Many of the things being said back and forth ring true to my experience, both on the internet and in my law school experience.
-
Many do not. I do not feel comfortable weighing in at all.
-
I’ve publicly side-eyed particularly egregious instances of anti-Twitter bullshit, but I’m very, very, very tired.
-
I know having the capacity to withdraw and be quiet is privilege. But I feel very alone and very lost inside whatever feminism is.
-
I want to make Big Institutional Feminism better, and theoretically, I am in a unique position to do so.
-
But in reality, I feel totally disempowered and disconnected from any larger movement or solidarity.
-
The attacks, by my beloved friends, on Big Feminism are warranted. But they also make me feel alienated w/r/t things I love and care about.
-
I edited a massive article on legislative reform enacted by Big White Feminism. I respect Gloria Steinem. I care about the ERA.
-
Some of my favorite friends and closest feminist allies worked for NOW. Am I part of a problem? Do I deserve any solidarity?
-
I am not entitled to solidarity from WOC. But hell, I’m getting *nothing* from Big White Feminism. So in that case, I really am alone.
-
I will always maintain ongoing critical examination of my own practices. Not talking about how to theoretically resolve my feminism...
-
… I know where I stand right now, and I will always strive to listen. I'm talking about my emotional need to have a family.
-
But maybe feeling alone is the price I have to pay for my own intellectual journey.

@sarahjeong Genuine Q: can you point me toward something that best expresses what you're calling "Twitter feminism"? (I know: reductive.) -
@brockwinstead Well, I guess all the articles that complain about it blame@Karnythia individually, but obv there’s a huge diverse community
