I think what I hated the most about the Dr. V story was the exoticization of being trans*. Like it was the capstone of all lies.

I watched Ace Ventura, Pet Detective as an adult (very restrictive childhood) and was appalled by its transphobia.

But the same attitude is there. The villain’s “craziness” and “badness” and “murderousness” is capped off with a trans* identity.
