The @nytimes does deserve ridicule. A once great newspaper now hiring a barely literate, unashamed, abhorrent racist for it's editorial board. Hopefully both the racist in question and the newspaper will suffer accordingly.

I don't think #NYTimes "backed themselves into a corner", because it pretty much openly believes that races are different and need to be treated differently. In their minds they are addressing real and imaginary wrongs by all people of European descent that caused all intolerance

Public perception has a very powerful influence. All the fire from tweets and losing subscribers due to racial attitudes demand action. Fire @sarahjeong due to attack on paper or her attack on an entire race or "bravely" keep for free speech? Yeah they are backed into a corner.
