@sarahjeong @alisternburg It's not the rates so much, it's the license itself. Everyone is trapped in system whether good for them or not.

@CathyGellis @alisternburg Yes. But fact remains that artists are getting checks from SoundExchange, & those amts will be reduced by IRFA.

@alisternburg @CathyGellis I wish I believed that! I think the greater chilling effect has been years of litigation, not compulsory licenses

@sarahjeong @alisternburg That too... But BTW, we're still litigating the webcasting licenses for 2010-2015. And have been since *2009*!

@CathyGellis @alisternburg Good lord, I remember in 2012 everyone was like "we'll be done with this soon"

@sarahjeong @alisternburg Actually, the rates from 2005-2009 are also still being litigated...
