    To my fellow forensic psychologists: It’s important for us to review these data and consider how we could be contributing to systemic racism in our assessment measures and tools.

    Risk assessment tools are used to decide who remains in jail. The stakes couldn't be higher. Yet our research shows that they're dangerous, ineffective and racist. We can't automate decisions around liberty and freedom. Read the ACLU letter released today:

    Denver! This is serious. Our city is in rough shape. Herd immunity is out @ 60-70%; we *have* to hold on for a vaccine. Too many people will die if we don’t change our behavior NOW. Estimates are 1/292 ppl are infectious right now. Wear a mask. Social distance. < 6 ppl bubble.

    Vote. Like your life depends on it. This system is imperfect and flawed and sometimes even rigged. Don’t give up. Get in it to change it. Advocate. Demand. Hold accountable. Vote. Run for office. Local matters.

    Truth. And for all physio, not just neuro. Biology adds beautiful complexity. Behavior is multifaceted for reasons. Throwing money and fancy tools at it doesn’t solve muddy theory or weak design. We’ve all hit that wall. Good thing we are learning machines!

    Neuroscience is only as good as the behavior it's examining. Don't understand the behavior? Back up and figure it out first - the neuroscience will likely be a waste of your time (and $) until you do so.
