basically, handholding wall labels were uncommon, which i have mixed feelings abt, but don't really care as long as things are arranged well

private collections may be run by amateurs&the art will often be jammed close together, but they do tend to have reasons for the arrangement

@thesublemon yeah the getty has always been about "invest for $$$$" so its stuff is awful and depressing
