People write "AI experts say X" etc but There are no AI EXPERTS. because there IS NO AI Not least because what is definition

But also because for AI to be anything different from "Fancy Programmin'" it's really has to be general intelligence and still we are as far from that as back in the lisp machine days.

seems like you could define AI as "throwing computers at ill-defined problems", which is delightfully at odds with definitions of intelligence analogous to "problem solving capacity for a specific class of problems"
