New: The House Oversight Committee is set to conduct its first interview in the Biden classified document investigation. It'll be with the National Archives general counsel; Chairman Comer has accused the Archives of bias in handling Trump vs Biden.

The intelligence community is stonewalling Senate Intel members on the Biden & Trump document cases -- even in classified settings. DNI Haines blamed the special counsels -- but Senate Intel got to see sensitive details during the Mueller probe.

What's the difference between Biden and Trump's cases? The FBI took a decidedly more aggressive and invasive stance toward Trump, who in turn took a publicly aggressive stance toward DOJ. The alleged crimes AND the levels behind-the-scenes cooperation are essentially the same.

New: Trump's document case & Biden's document case are fundamentally similar in most ways. While Democrats & the media argue Trump's offense is much worse, point for point (as we go through in this piece), that's not necessarily true. ⁦@dcexaminerwashingtonexaminer.com/politics/biden

One nugget from this story: the White House does not appear to have released visitor logs in several months, despite Biden's team pointing to the existence of those logs as evidence they're transparent (to counter criticism of keeping no Wilmington logs).

A key point from : Investigators should compare the contents of classified records found at the Wilmington house to the contents of emails Hunter Biden sent to business partners. If there's overlap, that would make this all far more serious

New: The Secret Service could become the next place House Republicans look for answers about the Biden classified document case; Secret Service officials have at least partial visitor logs for Wilmington and have suggested they'll cooperate the House.

New: For our series marking the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I wrote about the many little divisions among Republicans on how to approach the abortion issue in 2024 -- from rape exceptions to criminal punishments for doctors.

New: Justice Department officials will have the power to veto any document or interview requests from House Republicans to the National Archives -- meaning a key avenue for getting answers on the Biden classified document case could be closed.

If Republicans floated baseless theories like this about why Trump had classified papers, they would rightly be called unhinged

From colleague Hillary Vaughn. Dem GA Rep Johnson on Biden classified documents: I'm suspicious of the timing of it..things can be planted on people, places and things can be planted or things things can be planted in places and then discovered conveniently.

Yet another conservative journalist objecting to the Twitter bans. I can count on one hand the liberal employees at major media corporations who ever objected to Big Tech censorship before last night. They wanted more of it. This is what "principles" are:

Selectively banning voices for partisan or ideological reasons is bad no matter who does it and why. It's hard to see how @elonmusk can have credibility as a purveyor of free speech if he abuses the same tools his predecessors did in ways he criticized. washingtonexaminer.com/news/aoc-clash
