If you think climate change isnt real and that women and racial minorities have had it too easy for too long, support Trump and the 'conservatives.'

Yeah, I think hate definitely has more to do with it for poor people. It literally makes no sense for them to support Republicans.
-
Trump was notable supported by two power blocs; the ultra rich who saw an easily bribeable guy in power as a great way to extract money from the state, in the form of tax cuts and other concessions, and by the MAGA crew; mainly older white people who hate...
-
Orrrr you could listen to what many people responded to. Jobs, securing borders and enforcing the rule of law, and a more positive outlook about their home.
-
Bullshit.
-
Im just telling you what people cheered for at many trump rallies. You can believe what you want.
-
They charred for “Locker her up” and “Build the wall.”
-
"securing borders and enforcing the rule of law," is code for terrorizing immigrants, migrants, refugees, and racial minorities,as is 'rule of law.' These are the same people who scoff at protests against police brutality against black people.

Not true. People vote their tribes if tribes are competing, and people vote classes if classes are competing. In an homogenous polity people vote class/economically (Power), and in a heterogeneous polity they vote tribally (Power). Or for Signals (Power). They just vote power.
-
How does your statement cancel out Pinker’s?
-
People vote POWER given the CONDITIONS of competition. That's why Democracy works for selecting priorities in a homogenous polity but not choosing differences in a heterogeneous polity, and why there is so much friction between American 'tribes'.

Any time we state an incomplete premise we feed discord by supplying bias confirmation by doing the cherry picking for them. He stated an incomplete premise in order to feed the confirmation bias of a majority faction - not the Truth. ("The Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth")

The NYT article conveys is that it is that virtue signaling is a form of conspicuous consumption that one forces others to pay the indirect cost of. Or stated directly: we are burning the most valuable form of capital in the world (homogeneity and high trust) for virtue signals.

If you cannot make a statement in social science using economic terms, then either you don't know what you're talking about, or you are engaged in selection bias, or worse, deception. Hence the rise of "Economic Imperialism" in the Academy as a counter to social pseudoscience..

Studies have shown confirmation bias is more prevalent amongst those with higher IQ.Makes sense those who attend college are more likely to have higher IQ.Significant possibly.Among my Progressive friends I noted under Obama, they seemed a little lost.Their bond was not as strong

Which side are you on...is not the most intelligent question. It keeps wrecking humanity this having to choose a side and demonizing the other..
-
If a side is defined by a set of beliefs that are proven to be horrid, it is perfectly acceptable to ask the question which side are you against.
-
I said that it's a non-intelligent question, that's all. Show's the level of humanity's intelligence and civilization.
