Respectfully disagree. Canada is demonstrating unbelievable intolerance to disagreement from identity politics; the same that cast you, yourself, as a racist, nazi, whatever-else.
-
Don’t mistake the short term radical fringe with more dominant and lasting trends.
-
The radical fringe is itself part of a lasting trend. You are not wrong to be optimistic, but it's not something to be ignored.
-
Oh I wouldn’t ignore it. That wouldn’t be wise.

Really? A place that discriminates against social groups based on political beliefs such as abortion and free speech?
-
You’re describing a persecution complex.
-
You’re suggesting it doesn’t happen. It does. But anecdote doesn’t change what the stats say, Canada has apparently become less intolerant. But maybe we all have different definitions of intolerance or what it means for a country to be intolerant.
-
Nobody has suggested it has reached zero.
-
True, you didn’t suggest it. You only implied that the only kind of person who believes intolerance is still an issue and happens here, has a persecution complex. You only suggested their perspective was delusional and can’t be legitimate. Sill not the best attitude.
-
No I haven’t.
-
Well then. I guess you think their opinion could be legitimate and it’s just a matter of poor communication

"Intolerance" is a pretty broad construct but nonetheless, Canada is a BIG country with a SMALL population. As population increases along with diversity, intolerance may increase too.

It's growing in the U.S. at a staggering pace since it has been blessed by our intolerant
@POTUS -
vigilance can be a good thing sometimes.
-
What does that mean, exactly?
-
well, blind tolerance can work against you in certain circumstances. There's a balance to be had.
-
Not sure I agree with you, there. Intolerance means that people are being judged by their race, religion, nationality, sexual preference, etc. That is never a good thing.
