Hi Steven. Can you please send me a signed copy and when I've read it, I promise I will pay you what I think it is worth. In my view, trust is the default position of human nature and I'm testing my theory.

Very good point, besides this fact, how great is Bill Gates from an intellectual perspective? Yes, he has a lot money and fame...

        50 that's pretty good! In a good year I might do 80,and in a bad year 25.(I'm including non-fiction with technical terminologies,and textbooks,some over 1000 pp)

Audiobooks FTW. 2 books/week at work alone. Good past time while driving. 20-30 books more in free time/year of #oldschoolreading

A little less patting yourself on the back (retweeting all things positive)might make the book more appealing to read.

@BillGates How do you read fifty books a year?! How fast do you read? I read everyday but get through a fraction of that amount.

War between nation states is a thing of the past? This is highly naive. Russia could invade the Baltics, China invade Taiwan, Iran or Turkey attack Israel, any of which would lead global upheaval. Every century has a major war, don’t expect the 21st to be any different.

Russia won't invade the baltics because of NATO, China won't attack Taiwan because of the US, and Turkey has its own problems to deal with before even thinking about Israel.

Well, with Bolton in the White House, I think war with North Korea and Iran is very likely.

Yes, because Bolton is in charge of going to war....it didn’t help that Obama appeased Iran and North Korea for 8 years.

So you're for regime change in North Korea and Iran, both of which Bolton has supported?

There seems to be a typo in the article. “For poorer countries, that number is much higher, at 0.02 per 100,000, though it's been cut from 0.7 in the past five decades, according to Pinker's research.” Should it be 0.2 per 100,000?
