Amazing new finds from Kenya suggest complex culture arose at the dawn of H sap. (I'm not surprised: Complex cognition, though not sufficient for complex culture, is necessary, & should enable it early.) @edyong209https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2018/03/a-deeper-origin-of-complex-human-cultures/555674/?utm_source=twb …

Could beings have complex cognition and NOT develop culture? How would that happen?

An incredible journey to become what we've become. We still have many of our primitive traits but we are certainly progressing fast. Should be an exciting couple of hundred thousand years ahead for us.

85% of Nobel prizes for science and Econ have been won by white men. A woman is no more likely to win today than in 1920. No black has ever won a science prize. They seem to have stayed at the stone tool stage.

How can you take credit for the evolution of the human brain when the human brain took hundreds of millions of years of evolution to create Did humans design their brain over millions of years ? That’s like a tree taking credit for photosynthesis

Taking credit personally for what the human mind can create is meaningless Because it took millions of years of evolution to create that ability people assume is theirs It’s not It’s impossible, when you use that ability to think create, it’s a product of nature Not you

How can the creation of ideas that logically cannot exist without a brain, be any different than photosynthesis IT’S NOT You’re just suffering from narcissism

You don’t take credit for keeping your blood pressure stable or any of the processes of the body So how can you take credit for ideas that can ONLY be the exact same function, a product of nature lol

So when the creation of ideas cannot be any different than photosynthesis, because you cannot create ideas without an organ that took hundreds of millions of years of evolution to design, like the function of the liver, that you don’t take credit for lol Who’s creating ideas

The brain is just an organ like the liver is an organ but people don’t take credit for the function of the liver
