Trump also likes to refer to himself in the third person, just like you! Great men think alike and fools never differ :-)

Well, whatever @sapinker might or might not know about psychology he is a transparent anti-Trump hack masking his partisan politics as "science". Such a disgraceful abuse of the notion of science. So sorry I wasted $35 on his misleadingly advertised book.

Do you people have to be so angry at *any* criticism of your supreme leader? Try debating ideas instead of just labeling anything pro-Trump “good” and anything anti-Trump “bad.” It’s embarrassing.

You have obviously not read @sapinker over the top vitriol about @realDonaldTrump in Enlightenment Now. A position taken by many reviewers that it ruins an otherwise excellent book.

.@sapinker gets a lot of anti-PC followers. It turns out for some reason that this set of ppl has a large intersection with the loud pro-Trump 3rd-World-style populist/anti-elitist crowd. Bad marketing strategy by Pinker maybe. But this doesn’t make his criticism of Trump wrong.

I mean this why “many reviewers” criticize his anti-Trump stance. As for the criticism itself, isn’t it worrying to you that Trump has almost exactly the same rhetoric as people like Erdogan (on the right) or Chávez (on the left)?

Actually no. That is why we have three branches of government. IMHO @sapinker rants in Enlightenment serve no purpose other than to p-off a bunch of readers. I never took #MAGA as reactionary, rather a call to once again be the "leader of the free world."

Rather than "leading from behind" with a "pen and a phone." I don't like President Trump's crudeness but it isn't "world ends, women and children hardest hit" as @sapinker seems to believe.

Both Turkey & Venezuela were democratic nations with three branches of government. Venezuela's gov was modelled pretty much the same as USA's. In your opinion, what will make the USA probably the only country in history to be "improved" and not wrecked by this kind of populism?

There might be some truth to this, but it’s giving the MSM way too much leeway and a credibility that if you leave its echo chamber is eroded and biased.
