Excellent article by @juliaoftoronto BelluzFeb on the fraud & bad journalistic habits that catalyzed the anti-vaccination movement 20 years ago. https://www.vox.com/2018/2/27/17057990/andrew-wakefield-vaccines-autism-study?utm_campaign=vox&utm_content=entry&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter … via @voxdotcom

Nice try. It’s pretty clear that vaccines are a problem in this country. Riddle me this: we are more medically advanced than ever before in history, yet kids receive three times the amount of the vaccines we received as kids. So why is this country sicker than ever before?!

What about them? We got 16 shots (at the very most) in the 80s. Why are kids strong upwards of 36 while also not keeping them actually free of disease? More kids are getting lupus, adhd and depression, than ever before in our nations history.

Only because nobody used to screen for those illnesses. The doctors were too busy trying to save children from measles, chicken pox, mumps and rubella epidemics that came around and killed kids every year.

So then you have data that shows us all that there was an actual epidemic of measles, chicken pox and rubella during the times between 1960-1990? Ill wait :)

The anti-vax movement deserves the same amount of respect as astrology, homeopathy, and vitamin water. It is BS.pic.twitter.com/X1Q5xBWlC8

Interesting how Ben, conservative as he is, acknowledges the extreme leftist bias of vox, @WHO, etc but trusts them emphatically on vaccines

also interesting how he is pro-life and yet says that vaccines cultured in aborted fetal tissues are acceptable.

Agreed, good point. There is much to be learned/understood about the real situation at had with vaccines. It's not clear.

I once read the CDC's referenced scientific articles that 'prove vaccines are safe'. I suggest @sapinker do the same.

Dr Andrew Wakefield is a hero of the highest level. All he did was listen to parents concerns with autistic children. He has been subjected to smear and lies from powerful big pharma. Follow the money.

If only it were the anti bad kids that died. Unfortunately, you let one of those feral vectors visit a nursery, and they’ll take everyone’s infants out at once. Parents need to start keeping their kids away from unvaccinated (by choice, not necessity) ones.
