If you can stand a bit more Trumpology: Personality expert (and grad school classmate) Dan McAdams argues that DT uses dominance, not prestige, to claim status -- uncanny parallels with chimps (even piloerection). https://goo.gl/nu9wXw

It was cunning of him to hijack GOP, whose base (especially White evangelicals) believes deeply in the authority of male positions of dominance. God, priests, Military, police. All the the more effective when running against a woman.

It’s interesting who responds to that. We all grew up with bullies and I assume most people didn’t like them. But I guess a certain amount of people (GOP) didn’t care as long as they weren’t the ones being bullied.

For white American males, who are ridden with anxiety that their exalted place as the sole masters of the universe is being threatened (Obama!), the more of a bully Trump is, the better. Because he’s THEIR bully.

That’s what I’m starting to realize - stand behind the bully while he beats up the disabled, the poor, the defenseless. I also realize how much stronger liberals are to face them down. I never really considered that before.

Clearly you’re more interested in confirming you biases than actually understanding Trump’s appeal.

Incorrect. I’m acknowledging that Trump hacked our wetware at a very primitive level. At least those of us who were predisposed to desire a dominant white male leader as opposed to the first female president directly after the first black man. Too much for some to take.

Again, pure confirmation bias. This video of a male actor playing Hillary and a female actor playing Trump shows that the opposite is most likely true:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yC7-JsR2Fk …

Oh, you’re talking to Alex. Thank God. For a moment I thought you were now going to explain to me what happens when a woman competes in a male-dominated workplace. 😂I’ll just bow out then - Alex is the last person to need my help.
