Pinker has always specified better for humans. Not that the tools of the enlightenment can't be used for other species. In fact as people expand their circles of compassion we see it grows to include lobsters and other creatures.

Ah yes, Steven Pinker's annual "Everything is fine!" routine. This may have worked under Obama but it's truly astounding you are continuing this shtick under Trump. People's quality of life is declining globally, no matter how you spin your empty war statistics.

He actually answers that in his latest book. Give it a read. It's quite interesting. I'm sure your local library has a copy.

I've read his work, his use of metrics is completely misleading, and he never addresses the failures of the statistics he cherry picks. There is no metric which sums up 'quality of life', it's a bad argument without any facts. Hes a wolf in sheeps clothes

Why not explain how Remington filing for bankruptcy proves his thesis if by the same logic the increasing military spending in US disproves the entire book? Don't let yourself be manipulated by the pseudo scientist.
