Your advocacy of de facto Humanism, and non-violence as an apologist for our species is laudable and appreciated.

It is debatable whether a number of the 99 items are actually good things.

A certain amount of naivety is beautiful, but when it reaches blind stupidity it becomes first boring and then scary. Is this really the lens we are looking through to see the world? It is not only opaque, somebody's painted it pink!

Great that some are paying attention to good news. The political polarization has many of us focusing on the negative.

I thought this was always the justification of the news cycle. When have you ever seen a news program report on just positive news? I think we delight on someone else's problems and probably even say, "well at least I'm not the poor bastard going through that."

Stephen, please, for FFS! Don't take our pessimism away, nor our fatalism either. What would be the point, or use, in being an Irish catholic then?

I'm guessing one of them is we somehow made it to 2018. Odds on getting one of these lists next January shortening the more fragile the evil dictator's ego gets.

I think you'll be alright. Everyone thought the world was coming to an end in 2017, it didn't. Now we are thinking is 2018. I can tell you with 99.9999999999% assurance it won't either. Relax and enjoy the ride.
