Doesn't this assume that millennials' political beliefs are static? Shouldn't we account for a likely shift towards conservatism as to they age?

I don't understand why Brexit gets lumped in with Trump all the time, especially by Americans who, to my knowledge, have no desire whatsoever for their country to be ruled by Brussels.
-
Because in both cases, the driving factor was nationalism which is a counter-reaction to the whole anti-west pc-movement that has been pushing forward the multiculturalism-agenda for years. And it seems that multiculturalism is just a vehicle for denouncing western culture.
-
To an extent I agree, but I think most people who voted for Brexit did so because they believed the UK is simply better off run by the UK, not Brussels. And that is ultimately what it's all about.

Is this a generational phenomenon or an age related one?

Young liberals often become old conservatives.
-
But what old people are conservative about will change ... young people will be less sexist, less racist and less homophobic over the life course. They might still not want to pay for other people's healthcare, mind.

Is there any evidence that younger generations are more aware of cognitive biases and possibly more resistant to them?
-
I'd say no because of the dissolve of rational thought on campuses, which has become a shock to even liberal profs. Yet,
@sapinker work shows that positive change has happen despite our cognitive biases. Which is why he says that we should figure what's going on, to do more of it

Presumably society sometimes collapses funeral by funeral as well. The demographic of an opinion tells us nothing about its truth or falsity so what is the point of this analysis?

Do the younger generations stay that way, though? Or do they shift in a similar direction as they get older?

The unfounded and illogical assumption of this argument is that people do not move into different categories as they age.
