NYT's Michelle Goldberg shows liberals how to shoot themselves in the head. 1. Attack Trump/GOP policies (legitimately). 2. Tell millennials, "It's capitalism!". Why, then, should they vote for Clinton/Dems?https://nyti.ms/2knFgpC

Your reading of the article seems amiss. Goldberg is trying to *explain* millennials’ attraction to socialism, not argue in favor of it. Conceding that capitalism has not worked in their favor does not amount to arguing in favor of socialism.

Yes, the phrase "It’s not just the occult magic of the market that’s enriching Ivanka Trump’s children" definitely sounds like it was written by an impartial observer.

"It was organized by the socialist magazine Jacobin" . . . Associating opposition to Trump with socialism, Jacobinism, and the Clintons is bold strategy, but just might be enough to pull off a loss in 2020.

Republican's aren't fascists, I also find it very disturbing that you declare loyalty to a cause that killed more people than fascism could ever dream of.

The Clintons are pro-corporate sellouts who ruined the good name of the Democratic Party. Crazy to think there are still people defending them.

It's a false either/or. Capitalism needs to be restrained, not destroyed. Because unrestrained capitalism leads to the current semi-feudal economy run increasingly by oligarchs, where full-time adult workers don't make enough to survive, never mind thrive.

You don't accurately sum up her column, @sapinker. Michelle Goldberg is criticizing a particular form of capitalism that is on the move right now, not all types of capitalism.

Millennials should absolutely hate capitalism, and not just for above reasons. Anyone voting against their own interest would be a moron. Capitalism is only good for a few, never many.

The worse part is, the fDems cannot admit their real reasons for hating the tax plan: 1) Many blue states like Cali won't be able to "evade" federal tax anymore 2) Scrapping the hated mandate would finish their ACA dream 3) It would give Trump a win
