Who the fuck is admiring Stalin? Does Stalin provide social services in Scandinavia? Did Stalin design the Canadian health care system? Fuck this straw man bullshit. And fuck your dubious historical methods and pop tropes in your books, while we're at it.

Excellent piece about the horrifying world view not only of many millennials, but even of older generations who seem not to have learned from history. You might be interested in a piece that I (a student of Soviet history) wrote about all of this -- http://pen4rent.com/bolshevik-revolution-somber-centenary/ ….

Thank you for posting that article. It was very interesting to read. I find it disturbing how little people of my age know about the horrors of the USSR. We never learned about the Holodomor, Red Terror, or Stalin's ethnic cleansing in school.

Sort of alarming that any literate adult alive today needs to be told that Stalin was a monster and that communism is a failed economic experiment.

There are a lot. They keep posting extracts of William Mandel books and consider Stalin the greatest leader on Earth, whose legacy has been tarnished by his enemies.

Sure you can find any type of lunatic on the internet but I think they're an irrelevant fraction of society. Or at least small if not negligible. In contrast to regular intolerant conservatives..

Come on. You must be joking? The way the word conservative is used it describes the GOP in the US, the CSU/CDU in Germany and the OEVP in Austria. These are centrist/right leaning parties that obviously intolerant & regressive re. social issues
