Sometimes it's necessary for someone to crunch the numbers to demonstrate that the bleedin' obvious happens to be the right answer.

Context is toxic US ethos: Govt/military addicted to war. Tolerance of violence. Unstable health care. Precarious environmental protections
-
A bloodthirsty, anti-life ethos. “Thoughts & prayers”, not meaningful action by legislators too many of whom are beholden to big-donor pimps

Frankly, I think if I watched Fox News & Infowars all day, everyday, I'd probably be riled and crazy enough to shoot up a few churches too.

Guns sure do make it a lot easier to cause such harm.

for some reason people cannot understand this simple sentence

Legally owned guns don't even explain rampage shootings. They also don't explain vehicle attacks, bombings, or planes flying into buildings.
-
Almost every shooting rampage over the last 50 years was carried out by someone that shouldn't have had a gun.
-
Hey I just want make sure I understood. By “shouldn’t” you mean they by law those certain ppl shouldn’t have had guns?
-
Sorry, by "shouldn't" I mean they were in possession of their guns illegally. The Texas shooter, for instance.
-
that’s what I was thinking thx

Increased mass gun violence likely has to do with the fall of the US economy and the great lie of corporate media that we have "recovered".
-
Not being able to get a job drives people to mass kill? No

Advocating military interventionism doesn't go well with advocating for gun control at home. So this liberal & neoconservative pov is void.

income inequality does
-
Income inequality is not the relevant issue. If every1 had their needs met but some were very rich, wld be irrelevant that some were rich.
-
Conditions of poverty R more relevant than the absolute difference between the richest and the poorest.
-
There is no correlation between gnp and violence. But if you look at income inequality, the more the is, the more social instability
-
Explain why the presence of Bill gates at a distant mansion impact whether 1 gang member shoots another?
-
I agree there is a correlation. I just want to understand the mechanism. I think there R other explanations that just happen to correlate.
-
This mechanism is too complex for a tweet but I’ll tell you that most gang members acquire guns illegally so law has nothing to do with it
