        It availed just fine. They shut down 8 hours before the tsunami hit. It was the dirt-old deisel generators in the basement that failed.

        Not at all. "Renewables" cannot hope to supply our energy demands and hydrocarbons worsen Climate Change. Nuclear handles both.

        Statistically the safest energy, solar and batteries can't provide base load power . Small reactors safe and new designs have little waste.
