This is fascinating to me bc I have the mild form of CAH ("nonclassical") and started programming in 1994 when I was 10.

I never went into it as a career or anything but I kept with it as a hobby... until I started taking enzymes to control my androgen levels.

Once I started treating the CAH, I lost most interest in programming. I still think more systematically relative to my female friends. Habit

There is also an episode of This American Life where a trans man said being on hormones made him suddenly interested in physics.

Have known other trans men, friends of friends, to describe the same thing.

You compare normal women with CAH women, and see that androgen exposure correlates with interests. Hard to dismiss this proof.

Correlation does not evidence causation. about a million other variables can interact to lead to interest.

Like what, parental treatment which is roughly equal?Plus opposite effect is found in boys, and similar in trans people w/ hormone treatment

CAH qualifies as intersex.For 1, intersex individuals do not get the same socialization as girls, for instance
