This is what is known as a predatory journal. It is simply pay to publish. There is no review. It's a scam not scientific literature.

No more legitimacy than a blog post, and likely cost the authors a couple of thousand $. Joke is on anyone publishing in these "journals"

He's quoting Coyne & the article's source journal, which of course claims it's "high quality." He doesn't seem skeptical.

The article got turned down by one actual GS journal. They should have tried more. Pub'd by *Cogent Social Science* it is a hoax fail.

It's not a "high quality peer reviewed" journal. It's a scam outfit where they will print anything if you pay them. Good Lord.
