Why was the enormous wave of false ideas associated with that activism not contradicted by Experts? The same ones who want their way today?

If we would get fully onboard the solar train there would be no need for pipelines or nuclear energy.

Until you can provide storage or global transport, base load energy is still required. Modern nuclear is safe and makes excellent base load.

1/ Could base load be achieved via a mix of geothermal and hydroelectric? If not, having limited nuclear might not be a bad idea.

IMO this issue should be looked at considering solely risk vs reward, eliminating ideological preconditions as much as possible.

If activists wouldn't embrace Islam as a religion of peace now, maybe 40 years from now they won't have to protest against blasphemy laws:/

If people iin Amherst & Boston signed up to store nuclear waste in their backyards, not just mine, this argument wouldn’t be hypocritical.

Nuclear only with zero illusions and no folly. Google “cat litter” and “Waste Isolation Pilot Plant” to see what nuclear culture is now.

Oh, I agree there on not sugar-coating things; but isn't that primarily from Nuclear material used in Weapons, not power?

Integrity in nuclear policy is not decoupling the pitch for "clean, safe new technologies” from the joint weapons/power nightmares to date.

Nukes meet base load (constant demand), while thermals like coal and nat gas meet changing demand. Nat gas replaces coal, not nukes.
