. @sapinker have you ever read any history of science? Tuskegee? eugenics? Hiroshima? You need more social engagement, not less.

I thought "The Language Instinct" was poorly argued and overshot its evidence-based framework. Pinker is trash

I was sexually assaulted in the federal gov't bldg in DC where I conduct research. http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/24/13359794/smithsonian-sexual-misconduct-investigation-miguel-pinto …

Sexual misconduct is not a "distraction." It is a threat to the careers and livelihoods of countless scientists.

The issue of sexual misconduct in the sciences must be addressed - we can't afford to keep losing talented #WomenInSTEM bc of this issue.

If male scientists were getting punched in the face while doing their research, everyone would see that as a threat to science.

Sexual misconduct is just as damaging to the practice of science and it threatens the integrity (& reputation) of our profession.

To minimize the importance of this issue by calling it a “distraction” is a betrayal of half the people who make science happen.

That's not the purpose of the march though. It's for science and the policies surrounding it. Am I mistaken?
