        It's only terminology. If one does not care enough to understand TRUE needs, it is not caring enough to be called "empathy".

        I agree w the point, not the way it's presented, should not be presented as "anti-empathy", but FOR empathy + rational helping.

        Empathy for a person with a problem doesn't lead to a solution of that problem. It may in fact make the situation worse.
