It’s also quite telling of her career that she was dismissed from Harvard Ph.D.-prog. when Miller was chair in 1960 and in 1995 was awarded APA’s Miller award for outstanding research. A true fighter.

She was a great messenger for an unpopular message: parenting doesn’t count for much in a child’s development. Unless you’ve read her book The Nurture Assumption you no doubt disagree violently. Read the book!
