        You confused globalization with Capitalism.

Except global hunger has been increasing for several years now, even based on the FAO's conservative measures. Something doesn't add up.

Joseph Stiglitz who is a great economist and used to work for the World Bank wrote a book on why this is bullshit. I'll take his word and the evidence he cites.

It’s capitalism’s greatest triumph. Property rights, individual responsibility and (horrors) profit-seeking made this happen.

Presently 10,000 Guatemalans with full access to inexpensive Chinese made t-shirts and shoes are storming into the US for some reason. Free Trade was supposed to prevent that, right?

Death of extreme poverty? You have not been to India or many parts of Africa. Extreme poverty is alive and thriving there.

Actual economists are Fucking screaming at such blatant propaganda. Globalization has overall had a negative effect on reducing poverty.

Capitalism is literally destroying the ecosystem and the world's poorest people will suffer foremost because of it, but at least they've surpassed an arbitrary level of income based on some study. Steve, I'm kinda burnt out. Can you hook me up with a job at Harvard?

Dr. Pinker...please explain this death to the billion people in extreme poverty, likely also choking on plastic waste from the US. The death of poverty has been greatly exaggerated.
