Want to have an effect in the election? VoteForward is an evidence-based effort to improve voter turnout by writing to voters in swing districts who are otherwise likely to stay home.https://votefwd.org/

Vote Forward is a leftist organization looking to elect politicians who adhere to rights-violating ideologies and systems. If we value individual rights, we should not value a higher voter turnout among those who do not.

Should we not value more individuals participating in our democracy if we value our Representative Democratic Republic?

Democracy is not the issue. What people consider subject to democracy is. The set of people who think it proper to violate rights and have government exceed constitutional limits overlap heavily with those who advocate everybody vote as if it is an end in itself.

So you believe that people calling for increased voter turn-out are largely people that want to use democracy to undermine human rights? If this is the case, what specific rights are they attempting to undermine and why would increasing voter turn-out help achieve this aim?

(1/2) We live in a society in which the government has exceeded its legitimate authority. Examples: Government Education, Obamacare, retirement (soc. sec.), the welfare state, tariffs.

(2/2) The purpose of voting is the peaceful transfer of power to run the government, not to elect people who will impose their values on other citizens.

Cool. None of that answered my questions. If it is the case that those pushing for increased voter turn-out are hoping to undermine human rights then: 1) What specific rights are they attempting to undermine? 2) Why would increasing voter turn-out help achieve this aim?

        1) Attempting to undermine free speech, property rights, the 2nd amendment, etc 2) Increasing voter turnout helps them achieve this by electing those who don't respect constitutional limitations. Government-- protects from criminals Constitution-->protects us from government.

Wow, a lot of comments arguing against voter turnout‽ Brilliant! Let's just have a ruling class make our decisions! (If your reaction to concerns of uneducated voters is to discourage turnout—rather than educate them—you're an elitist.)

What logical effect will you have? Do you think people who do not vote are better voters than people who do? Every election has the same winner. The government. Do NOT vote. Do NOT consent.

You vilify Trump, but you are wrong to do so. He has defended single-payer, protecting preexisting causes, and funding Planned Parenthood. He stands for the American worker with his immigration policy, because illegal immigrants commit class warfare by driving down wages.

Trump has been beneficial for renewable energy by putting tariffs on Chinese solar panels to build American manufacturing up, his administration is funding solar and wind subsidies, and Trump wants to make us the #1 exporter of energy. Trump is the liberal Republican we need.
