Political Correctness should be simply restated as decency and politeness, and there has never been anything wrong with that.

Decency and politeness comes from an individual.. Political correctness comes from tyranny..

Identity politics were killing the left from within long before conservatives started twisting the knife

The right will sit back and watch as identity politics creates a hierarchy of victims and as feminists battle the transgender athletes who will take the Title IX scholarships and Olympic medals.

An insidious feature of political correctness is the level of moral condemnation it inflicts upon it’s critics. It silences moderate liberal voices and is a hindrance to the diversity of ideas on the left.
-
Exactly. They can't seem to comprehend that letting far left radicals dictate their platform is a fast lane to electoral extinction. Midterms just might highlight the point. Again.
-
The Democrat Party rotted from the inside out before American’s eyes. Evil has a way of doing that to it’s unfortunate host. It’s finally dead, and we’re ready if it reanimates by some ungodly zombie force, too.

-
Blame the Clintons. Between their corrupting effect, and Trump's single-handed rejuvenation of the right, wow. What a lesson in the power of leadership.

I find it interesting that there's no attempt in this piece to define what 'political correctness' or 'identity politics' are. Or give examples of them. It's much easier to be against vague phrases than concrete acts and policies...
-
The survey he refers to was more specific I think. I remember seeing it not long ago, perhaps you did too?
-
I think I did, but can't remember exactly what it said.
-
Just checked it. There wasn't a definition of 'political correctness' in the survey either. Which makes me suspect people file things they don't like under PC and things they do like under 'decency'.
-
I don't have it in front of me but I recall it was using that term to refer to approved terminology. I agree greater specificity would be helpful. I also think most of us know it when we see it, and recognise the drift.

It's so dishonest to pretend that right wingers are just now learning about Id Pol from leftist. The right has been the traditional home of Id Pol. We're just not calling it that because it's white identity politics.
-
I’m not sure if you defend identity politics or not. Can you be more specific as to what these white identity politics are in today’s politics? And what does it matter? If you believe identity politics to be wrong, it’s wrong no matter who promotes it, right?
