Wow. This IS news to me. I bought it, that lottery winners always wind up miserable. I really am glad to learn that that is not true!.... Now I can go ahead again and buy lottery tickets and become rich! This is great!

All things are relative. Less happy people are more likely to play a poor probabilistic gamble like a lottery and be more thankful for a positive outcome that rarely comes true.
