taxing carbon is silly when countries like china exist, better not to hamper our economy and let the technology to fix climate change flourish, like the nasa model, its hard to understand how an objective intellect would come to the conclusion that tax is a productive response

Let's tax ourselves while : a) other countries don't, and b) they steal our jobs and technology. Great strategy for losing.pic.twitter.com/s2X39S7Spg

Carbon tax is OK; carbon credits simply will not work and will put money in Wall Street pockets.

How about just stop eating meat? That gets us 50% of the way there...
-
I'm a small producer that raises pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens. I use Joel Salatin's model, which is very sustainable. We don't need factory methods to raise our meat but it's insane to say "just stop eating meat". It's a management issue.
-
Why is it insane? On the environmental end of things I appreciate that you are working hard to limit your impact, but sadly only around 5% of farming is done in such a way. From the POV of the consumer, not eating meat is the most effective way of reducing CO2 emissions.
-
From the point of view of the producer, it's more important to have consumers by their food locally than it is to massively change your diet under the misguided notion that it will reduce co2 or have any other impact on the overall climate.

And you might look up US PATENT #6630507. If used as medicine, 10's of 1000's of lives would be saved, that are currently lost to pharmaceutical drugs. And if people could grow and make their own medicine, 10's of £Billions would be saved. Media..... silence

Like most altruists, you favor increased statism. But this is against reason and individualism. Accepting any form of the argument that force must be used in the name of (anything except the initiation of force) allows others to find many immoral causes to use force.
