Did you find Peter Boghossian's thesis that Trump 'may be the inoculation we need' to get rid of the 'SJWs' and the toxic elements of the right innovative and interesting? Because with rare exceptions that's the sort of ludicrousness I find on Quilette whenever I check in with it

Boghossian also tried to claim that right angles were social constructs to ebin own the SJWs. Very rational.

There are good individual pieces on Quillete but ideologically it is about as diverse as Dave Rubin's contact list.
-
The 'free market of ideas' on the 'intellectual dark web' like Quillete, seems to include obsessive fixation on the same topics from the same perspectives by the same people doesn't it? Not a lot of diversity there nescessarily.
-
They agree on one thing - the importance of free speech. Other than that, they respectfully disagree on many topics. People are drawn to reasoned give and take.
-
Only one? I thought they almost all agree on: severe threat posed by Islam, intolerance of left/SJWs, that ‘identity politics’/‘third wave feminism’/‘postmodernism’ are dangerous, that academia is being overrun by political correctness, that immigration policies are too lax...
-
And that’s without touching on gender, MeToo, race & IQ, Israel, etc. There are disagreements: like Sam and JP on truth and the value of religion or Shapiro and Weinstein on economic views but it is misleading to present IDW as diverse. On issues they talk about most, they agree.

It's not innovative, nor is it interesting. It exists mostly to buttress your pompous IDW gang. Get a clue. Read “Enlightening the Intellectual Dark Web”

It's a trash machine that spits out regurgitated and repackaged right-wing talking points by, now, pseudonymous authors. Or maybe I missed their expose on
@nfergus. -
That is a gross mischaracterization. It’s in the middle, not the right. And has published some really good pieces on a range of topics.
-
I bet you think so... Just so interesting that your
#WalkAway from liberalism exactly coincided with when you picked up Twitter. That's just so strange... -
That’s not the chronology. Strange that you would assume to know that it is.
-
Uh huh. Funny how all the
#WalkAway'ers rely on this curious string of coincidences to explain away all of these inconsistencies. -
Gibberish with hashtags doesn’t work here, friend.

I subscribed to quillette on your recommendations but found it too right wing, more suited to Trump supporters. Although I must confess I only read a couple of articles and a lot of accompanying comments.
