Sure opened yourself to a lot of wisecracks with that one.

We have less gun deaths than any time in human history. This fact should fit with your "everything is getting better" narrative- but you don't mention that because you're a disgraceful political pawn.
-
You need fatalities stats, not non-fatal stats.
-
Why? Homicides represent only a tiny share of the overall gun crimes and on top of that they are hyperconcentrated in a small number of places, people, and behaviors. ~99% of lethal violence in the US is concentrated in just 5% of street addresses:https://vimeo.com/216798933

Because the tweet you replied to was talking about deaths. Maybe he's right, but it is a different stat than what you gave.

And 40.000 lives saved if we banned personal vehicules! And 100s of thousands if we controlled each and every meal that people eat! And millions if people lived in sanitized rooms 24/7! Oh brave New world!

Why do people assume new laws affect criminals, who by definition do not obey the law?
-
Why do you think they do? Could it be because there’s empirical/observable evidence that some laws do reduce illegal gun ownership and illegal gun use? Or is there no such evidence so it’s purely ideological?
-
If this is about access, lets go celebrate together at the Cocaine Store (or the easiest place to get drugs, inside prison).
-
There’s less concaine because it’s illegal. If it were legal, there’d be more.
-
Make everything illegal. Then we'll be safe.
-
Dangerous things that put people’s lives in danger? Yes that’s a good idea. You didn’t answer my question by the way. Is there no such empirical evidence linking gun restrictions to less gun violence? Maybe I’m wrong.
-
Give me empirical evidence on mass shootings in gun free vs all other zones.
-
Holland had 1 mass shoooting. Not per year. EVER! Why: somebody messed up the background check. Almost nobody has guns here, except licensed hunters and clubmembers. They have annual check ups etc. There are almost no gun fatalities, only some rare criminal hit jobs. It works.

Deceptive to list gun laws as the biggest factor in lower gun death rate. You know New England in general has lower death rates despite some states with high gun ownership and lax gun laws. Overall there is only a small correlation between rates of gun ownership and death by gun
