In the sense in which it is claimed that "we all speak dialects of the same language", are all computer machine codes dialects of the universal Turing machine code? If so, that says strictly nothing about language.

1. is
#logic the "Universal Grammar" or universal single language of all mankind? 2. is the#mathematics assuming the "earthly" logic? 3. is it possible to have a diffrent logic 4. is it possible with the diffrent logic construct the same math model of the universepic.twitter.com/tuhNrP6Bdo

Our
#logic developed from language (rhetorics/linguistics), if it came from another origin (or from other languages) there may be different focus, but I at least I can not imagine a contradictory form of logic developing elsewhere.

At the end of the day the goal of language is to convey information. Grammar is ultimately unimportant. It eventually becomes an argument where the superficial differences just don’t matter.

If Chomsky suspects it then I am skeptical.

I love this. However unlikely...its not impossible that there might be some manner of similarity.

Not at all concerning the specifics...but the underlying principles.

At the core of all language is arbitrariness, power and control, so it is probable aliens would communicate in a similar way. It's Saussure vs. Which edition of Star Trek.

I think the point about animals that have evolved different sensory modalities is a good one. Also given that we can’t even understand birdsong, understanding an alien race will probably be incomparably harder.
