The prejudice against immigrants in the EB backlog is nuts. These are people, trying to build their lives in the US just the same as those in the family backlog. They didn't happen to have a family member to sponsor them, so they got their employer to. Why the antagonism?

USCIS released Q2 report and they have approved less than 17,900 I-485 EB applications. Total less than 45,400. This year's quota is 262k. Will they even get to 140k?

Here's an updated count of how many I485 apps for EB were processed:
2021: 27.5K, 17.9K,
2020: 41.8K, 18.3K, 12.8K, 48.8K (total 121.9K)
2019: 33.2K, 27.5K, 30.4K, 13.7K (total 105K)
2018: 30.4K, 28.3K, 34.5K, 16K (total 109K)
Clearly, USCIS is likely to waste a lot of GCs

The biggest fraud and scam in USA immigration is this family visa. Start doing DNA tests, 80% will get thrown out. No other country on plant prioritizes family chain visa over skilled immigration. Beyond immediate parents nobody else should be given any family visa.
