    github just added already-viewed check boxes on files in reviews! This is practically a required feature for big reviews, like the private fields PR I started looking at today. There's even a completion bar. 38 / 218 files so far...

    I also counted runs of JSDoc comments: as you can see, there aren't many. Most of them are a file header comment followed by a normal JSDoc comment.

    I'm trying to improve Typescript's error reporting on overloads, so I looked at Definitely Typed to find out how many overloads people actually use. The results are, uh, interesting:

    More on estimating how much of npm is typed: suggested a simpler method: checking whether dependencies of sampled packages are typed. There's no fancy math here; just the percent of dependencies in random packages that have types. Here's the last 4 years:

    The top 1% of types on Definitely Typed consume 5% of the types. That's more than the bottom 33% combined. DT has a Gini coefficient of 0.51, between Germany and Portugal (according to Wikipedia).
