The only thing to combat bad scientific conclusions are better scientific conclusions.
people tend to forget that the scientific method doesn't deliver the right answers, it delivers a process that bends towards the right answers over extended periods of time, when its methods are actually followed, which turns out to be a lot more limited than science=good
