    2019 was a challenging year. However, thanks to our tireless medical personnel, members & donors, SAMS delivered over 2.5 million medical services to vulnerable populations in 7 countries. SAMS proudly provides dignified, quality care to those in need.

    SAMS dental & optometry program in collaboration with in has treated 168 patients! Khaled, a 35 year-old 'n refugee who visited our dental clinic told us: "I want my children to study, to change the world, to prove we are people just like all are."

    Born too early in a time of war. Doctors with ⁦⁩ struggling to save many like him. They say there has been sharp increase in miscarriages, premature births to Mothers traumatised by barrel bombs, airstrikes. There was an airstrike nearby during our visit.

    We recently met Mousa, an administrator for the Eywa settlement in NW . He stated: "More than 430 displaced families are spread between what currently amounts to 360 tents... There are many chronically ill patients who require constant, labor-intensive care."

    Since the latest escalation in April 2019, SAMS facilities received more than 14,000 injured patients, among them 1,422 women & 3,023 children. Ma’arat Masrin was most recently targeted yesterday evening. SAMS staff worked through the night to receive the injured.

    Ma’arat Masrin in rural was bombarded last night, causing 16 civilian casualties & 28 injuries. SAMS is immensely grateful to our brave staff on the ground who continue to provide life-saving care despite the risk it presents to their lives and families.

    Ma’arat al-Masrin Hospital & Idlib Central Hospital have received 15 injured due to airstrikes yesterday. “A 16-year-old girl w/ severed arteries went directly into surgery. It was indescribable when her parents found out that their daughter was alive,” Dr. Al-Khateeb said.

    During the past 2 days, & Al-Fu’ah were targeted by bombardment. Dr. Hikmat Al-Khateeb, a surgeon @ Ma’arat Masrin hospital who treated the injured, stated: “I felt helpless when I saw a 13 days old infant, who had been killed in the attack. There was nothing we could do.”

    A SAMS team of nutritional specialists recently began operating a new mobile clinic to provide vitamins & supplements to the nearly 1 million newly displaced in . The clinic screens for malnutrition in infants, young children, & expectant/nursing mothers.
