A bill to prohibit police officers from using tear gas, pepper spray, and other chemical irritants against children will be introduced into the NYS legislature by and in response to the brutality against a 9-year-old girl here in #Rochester.

Props 2 & 4 a swift legislative response
Will it pass?🤷🏽♂️ Be enforced?🤷🏽♂️
The fact tht we need a law 4 this should cause us all 2 ask— how did we arrive here?
(De-militarize, reduce scope of responsibilities & bring true independent accountability)

That there's a need a law for this is depressing. I am glad you're pushing for this.

I understand widespread reform, but are you demanding anything been done about this particular child and the threats made against her by her own mother? Is children’s services involved?

There doesn't need to be a bill to prevent Officers from using gas on children. They need to hire some people with common sense.

We need a bill nationwide to protect children from assault by chemical weapons, from sexual assault, from basic physical assault.

You shouldn't need a law.
Common sense should have told him not to do that.
They should have just taken her to a tree or fence and handcuffed her to it then waited for her to finish her tantrum. Some 17 year olds are 6'5" and weigh 210lbs. not sure total ban is wise.
